This is a full-time on-site role as an Information Technology Specialist at Ulemt located in New Cairo. The Information Technology Specialist will be responsible for network administration, troubleshooting, network security, and providing service related to IT needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless devices.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network and system performance issues.
- Ensure network and system security by implementing appropriate policies and procedures.
- Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (2019 and above), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Provide support for Linux-based systems (CentOS and/or Ubuntu).
- Assist in managing PBX systems; experience with VoIP is an advantage.
- Utilize monitoring tools such as PRTG to proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
- Collaborate with IT team members to support end-users and improve IT service delivery.
- Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network and system efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Network Administration, Troubleshooting, and Network Security skills
- Experience in Information Technology
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+)
- Experience with IT systems and software
- Experience with PBX is advantage
- Experience with monitoring software like PRTG is good to have
- Knowledge in Windows 2016+ Server OS and Active Directory
- Basic Knowledge in Networking - DHCP, DNS
- Knowledge in Linux - CentOS and/or Ubuntu is advantage
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is a must.
- Experience as an IT specialist.
- Very good English.
- Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) is a must.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a must.
- Network administration, troubleshooting, and security experience is a must.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
